OUR STORY
At Davidahuzy LLC, we are proud to be a fishing equipment manufacturer that is made in the USA. Our rods and handles are built from the ground up in Fort Wayne, IN, using the latest technology and highest quality materials. Each handle is 3D printed and built with a soft grip stainless steel equipment, adjustable for left or right handed use and providing a comfortable pistol and pencil grip. Our rods can be customized to your preference of color, engraving, and length. Every hand wrapped guide consists of black stainless steel guide, silver ring, and a slow curing epoxy to ensure they maintain threads and colors through their lifetime. We are constantly innovating and improving our products to provide the best fishing experience possible. Patent pending.
How it all started
I was ice fishing one day and had a bite. However, I lost the pole from the pencil grip into the ice fishing hole. I then went home and told my dad "We need to find a pole that has a better grip to it". After looking around I realized that was very hard to come by. I then decided I would try to create something for myself while playing with a piece of clay with my son. I formed an ice fishing handle with the pistol grip I desired with the piece of clay. I then put a blank in the clay and realized I needed to built it out of plastic. This realization resulted in me buying my first 3D printer which has helped me achieve my dream ice fishing pole.
Left and Right Handed Use
This video demonstrates how our handles are designed to be easily changed for both left and right handed use. You simply remove the reel screw and switch the reel to the desired side. Then you rotate the pistol grip to coincide with the appropriate left or right handed grip.
